The East Peterborough Lions Club are hosting a Pancake Breakfast in celebration of Mother's Day on May 13th at the Peterborough Farmer's Market. We start serving at 8:00 AM until1:00 PM. Serving fresh cooked pancakes with local Maple Syrup and a side order of fresh sausages. Ice cold apple cider and fresh baked goods will round out the meal. And the first 25 mothers will recieve a special Mother's Day gift.

The PTBO Lions Club supported by SPORTCHECK is partnering with a non-for-profit organization called SOLES4SOULS. At SOLES4SOULS Canda, unwanted footwear is turned into opportunities, keeping them from landfills & putting them to further use by thoses in need, creating jobs & empowering people to break the cycle of poverty. Your generously donated gently used footwear & new socks help those in need locally and abroad.

We’re holding our first ever "Belongathon" event to fundraise and raise awareness about the value of people with developmental disabilities. People with and without disabilities will “walk and roll” together on Saturday, June 10, 2023.  Sign up at belongathon.ca.  Our Cobourg event begins at 900 am at Donegan Park, 25 D'Arcy Street.   You can walk or roll 2-whatever works for you!

Support people with developmental disabilities Help create welcoming and accessible spaces in our local and global disability communities. In Bekoji, Ethiopia, your fundraising will help create a community centre for children with developmental disabilities. And in Cobourg you’ll be giving families an accessible Family Camp vacation,

 Raise awareness Just by participating in the walks, you are helping raise awareness about developmental disabilities and showing your community how to create inclusive, accessible spaces of belonging. And, you'll have your free tee to show off for the rest of the year!
