Join us for a new initiative during the Huntsville Art CRAWL! A day of outdoor painting, music and an art market. Paintings made throughout the day will be auctioned off to raise funds towards the Kareen Burns visual arts scholarship benefiting local youth who are studying visual arts in a post secondary institution or program.

Mary's Merry Minstrels presents a show of Old-time Country and Old Time Gospel Music. Come and sing along to all your favorite gospel and country tunes. Songs of love and salvation, love went wrong and the joy of love – there might even be a train song or two and chariots. The repertoire includes many classics like Shall We Gather at the River, Old Time Religion, Country Roads, and Ring of Fire.

Title of Workshop: Eating Well on a Budget

Rapids Family Health Team is offering a FREE virtual 2 hour workshop for families interested in buying nutritious foods on a budget. This program is facilitated by a Registered Dietitian. Some of the topics that will be discussed include: 

• How to find nutritious, budget-friendly foods at the grocery store
• Additional tips to save money on your grocery store bill
• Ways to store food and reduce food waste to help you save money
• Other ways to access affordable food in the community
• How to create a nutritious meal on a budget

Alex Cuba is a Latin Grammy/Juno winner, singer-songwriter. His sound is the unique confluence of tradition and global influences in articulate arrangements that convey emotions through melody and lyric. In 2022 he won a Grammy for Best Latin Pop for Mendó as producer, artist and engineer. His musical evolution for years was all about searching for the simplicity and soul in Cuban music – taking apart the complex arrangements, mixing it with North American influences, adopting the melodic simplicity of pop music, looking to Cuban folk traditions for inspiration – he’s always exploring, always creating something fresh and new, and always, it seems, getting it just right.

The Stress Management IN-PERSON Workshop is facilitated on a monthly basis by the Rapids Family Health Team Social Work Team to provide information on how to effectively manage stress.

Their on-stage antics are complimented by tales from their adventures on the road: from performing at the legendary Cavern Club in Liverpool (where the Beatles cut their teeth), to hearing how Rock n’ Roll came to Canada first-hand from the legendary Ronnie Hawkins, to swimming in Elvis Presley’s pool! The Dreamboats are bringing back sounds from this timeless era forward for a new generation to discover.

Rapids Family Health Team offers a FREE 4 week Healthy Eating series, a program designed to help you make permanent lifestyle changes. You will set your own healthy eating and physical activity goals and learn how to make plans for achieving them. 

Artist Gerry Lantaigne will lead a group of local artists in the creation of 7 more canoe murals featuring the work of famous Canadian artists Tom Thomson and members of the Group of Seven. Artists will paint the canoes “en plein air” during a week-long event in Downtown Huntsville’s River Mill Park. Artists to be confirmed. Engage with the artists while you watch the beautiful paintings being created! Once completed, these canoes will be displayed in Downtown Huntsville as part of the Group of Seven Outdoor Gallery Tour.

Burlington Conservative Association and Emily Brown host the second in a series of Town Halls. This one focuses on PUBLIC SAFETY - a topic on everyone's mind as our crime rates soar. Violent crime up 32%, gang homicide up 92%, human trafficking, car thefts, drug and gun smuggling!

The Huntsville Art CRAWL is a free self guided art tour in and around downtown Huntsville, Muskoka. Throughout the month of June, visitors will create their own free art crawl experience by touring local businesses, galleries & studios which feature exhibits, demos & interactive experiences by local artists. The Crawl culminates with an open air art market in River Mill Park on June 24th.
