This year Amelia Rising is pleased to announce that we will be resuming the Take Back The Night tradition of holding an in-person event and march. We will be continuing with last year’s theme of ‘Lighting Up The Night & Shedding Light On Gender Based Violence Together. The in-person event will be held at Memorial Park (1st Avenue & Ferguson Street) on September 15th. The event will begin at 6 PM with luminary decorating and raffle entry from 6-6:45. The raffle will end at 6:45 and be drawn at 6:50. Opening ceremonies will start at 7 PM and the march will begin at 7:30 PM. Supporting Take Back the Night 2022: Lighting Up The Night Together supports survivors, free counselling services, and violence prevention education within our community.
