Join us on Friday night June 16th to Kick off the Highland Games and enjoy a Tattoo with 6 Pipe & Drum Bands, Highland Dancers, Concert Band of Cobourg and the Donegal Fiddlers from 7pm to 9pm and then live entertainment in the Refreshment Tent with Bang on The Ear to 11pm for $25.  Early Bird discounted tickets are available on our website until June 4th.  Watch our Facebook page for updates.

On Saturday June 17th, The Cobourg Scottish Festival and Highland Games will be celebrating 59 years in Cobourg.    There will be Solo Pipe & Drum, Pipe Band, Highland Dance and Heavy Event Competitions.  Visit the Clans' tents to discover your heritage and shop at the many Celtic Merchandise and Food vendors.  Stay with us Saturday night to enjoy the entertainment in the Refreshment tent with Celtic bands including Matt Marcuz. Free admission and parking at the Guild Hall (next to City Hall)  72 Charlotte Street  Port Colborne.  Meet and chat with 20 local artists and craftspeople, many of whom you already know on Facebook.  You can pick up an Easter gift, register for future classes and guess the "Mystery Painting".  A snack bar will be open and we have a table of art supplies - free for a donation to a local food group.  For more details, please check Summerhayes Studios -The Art Guild on Facebook.

Help keep our community clean! The Rideau Environmental Action League is organizing a Pitch In cleanup to take place from April 15th to 29th, with a shoreline cleanup taking place in two groups (10am and 1pm) on April 29th. Individuals and groups are invited to go out to the areas most in need of a cleanup within the two week span to pick up litter. Pitch In bags will be available for pick-up at the Real Deal Store starting April 5th, during store hours (Wed-Sat, 10-5). Your filled Pitch In bags can be left at the roadside and will be collected by the town. Please see our Facebook page for details about prizes you can win for participating.
