Community Event - Sarnia - Walk For Parkinson's Sarnia Lambton
Charity Walk Event
Charity Walk Event
Originally created as an avenue for men and boys to show their support for women facing domestic violence by wearing hot pink heels, Hope in High Heels is back in person for 2022!
Hope in High Heels has evolved to become more inclusive, and has grown to include EVERYONE, of all ages and ability levels! All participants, from across Halton, have a shared passion to end violence against women.
The past two years have seen Hope in High Heels (From Home) running as a virtual event. We’ve loved seeing everyone sharing photos of their walks with friends and family, and wearing lots of pink to draw attention to the event and the cause! This year, we can’t wait to see you IN PERSON!
For 2022, Hope in High Heels will be a hybrid event, with a virtual Walk Week from September 18th-24th, and an IN-PERSON Walk Day held on September 24th. This year’s Hope in High Heels Walk Day will take place in Burlington, and we will rotate to different sites across Halton Region each year going forward. We can’t wait to see you!

Theatre Burlington's winter show is “My Old Lady” written by Israel Horowitz and directed by Judi Wilson. An inherited Paris apartment may be the perfect escape for a down-on-his-luck man. But the old lady who currently lives there won’t move out. Can they learn to co-exist?
By Israel Horovitz
Directed by Judi Wilson
Produced by Mark Collis
When a down on his luck middle aged man inherits an apartment in Paris, he plans to solve his financial woes by selling it. He arrives on the doorstep and discovers, to his dismay, that the elderly woman living there has lifetime habitation rights under an arcane French law and she is not about to give them up. Because he has no other place to go, she invites him to stay in the spacious apartment. A spiral of friendship, romance with the old lady’s outspoken daughter, and some uncomfortable revelations about his unmourned father affect all in this poignant play.
