For the first time in three years, we are very excited to announce that HIEC will be hosting an in-person Women As Career Coaches event that will bring together our community of young people and adult mentors for an impactful, inspiring and uplifting evening.

Women as Career Coaches is an evening event that brings together young women from the community with adult mentors from all pathways. Over dinner, youth and mentors have the opportunity to engage in informal mentorship conversations, listen to a line-up of inspiring spotlight speakers, and participate in a panel discussion on career pathways.

Burlington Convention Centre

1120 Burloak Dr, Burlington, ON

At Women, As Career Coaches, we warmly welcome women, women-identifying individuals, and two-spirit, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people.

We will be hosting a public townhall to discuss the issues we face in our healthcare system.  We want to hear from the residents of Niagara Falls, Fort Erie, and Niagara-on-the-Lake directly!

The townhall will be hosted on Thursday, February 9th from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Gale Centre (5152 Thorold Stone Road, Niagara Falls, L2E 0A2) in the Memorial Room. We will be featuring a panel of health care experts & front-line workers to discuss the crisis, our concerns with the continued growth of privatization, and listening directly to the concerns and stories of residents.

This event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. For the safety of all community members, we ask that folks wear a mask indoors. If you have questions or want more information, please contact my office at (905)357-0681 or wgates-co@ndp.on.ca
