Join Curator Frances Loeffler for a private tour of Tanya Lukin Linklater's exhibition, My Mind is with the Weather, followed by a night of buzzing artistic convesation and a 7:00 o'clock dinner at Paradiso Restaurant (125 Lakeshore Road East, Oakville).

In support of Oakville Galleries art programs and exhibitions for the upcoming season.

The Near North Palliative Care Network is hosting the Grand Parade for the first time in North Bay! The Grand Parade is a family-fun charity walk happening on September 17th, with all funds raised going directly towards helping to fund the NNPCN's FREE palliative, bereavement, and caregiving respite services in the community. We meet at the Veterans Soccer Field at 10:00am; the full schedule can be found at thegrandparade.org/location/northbay .

Gather your friends and family and register for FREE at thegrandparade.org/register under North Bay. Pledges can be made online or in-person, it's super easy!

On Monday, September 12th at 7:00 pm on Zoom join the Leeds & Grenville Branch for a presentation by Maggie Wheeler, the Seaway Valley’s Queen of Crime.  Maggie will speak about the origins of her Farran Mackenzie Lost Villages mysteries from the Seaway history, the connection to the history of the British Home Children, twenty years with Farran Mackenzie, and the finale of the series slated for October 2022.

Maggie holds a Masters in English and a Bachelor of Education in English and History, and is best known for showcasing the social, cultural and psychological impact of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Power Project construction on the Canadians it affected.
