The North Bay Potters’ Guild is a not-for-profit organization that offers membership to those 18 and over. Members enjoy the use of a fully equipped pottery studio and the opportunity to participate in classes, workshops and sales. Some classes are also available to non-members. St. Catharines & Regional Niagara Twinning Association & Friends presents their Annual jump up featuring Christmas music from the Twin City of Port of Spain. The word “parang” derives from the Spanish verb “parrandear” which means to go out to town and to have a good time.  Parang is a popular folk music originating from Venezuela and Trinidad and Tobago, it was brought to Trinidad and Tobago by Venezuelan and Colombian migrants who were primarily of Amerindian, Spanish, Coco panyol, and African heritage, something which is strongly reflected in the music itself which will have you swaying in the blink of an eye.   “Parang in Niagara” will transcend beyond having a good time and will feature Maestro & Friends Parang Band and include musical presentations by DJ Trinity Sounds, DJ Mike and DJ Dignitary Sounds.  Starting at 7:00 pm with a Caribbean dinner, there will also be door prizes, raffles and other activities including complimentary "pastels" and vendor marketplace.
