Summer training will be starting mid July 2022. The training consists of 50 hours and is done independently and online. There is a short introductory unit and then the first zoom session will be Thursday July 14, 2022 from 7pm to 9pm. Sessions continue every Monday and Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm until August 26th. (with the exception of the week of August 1st). Trainees are expected to participate in all sessions. The rest of the hours of training are made up through a variety of independent self learning tools/units. Cost of Training is $50. Subsidies are available. From June 25 through August 27 readers aged 12-18 have the chance to win prizes. Fill out a ballot when you borrow materials and you’re entered into the draw! Attend a teen program and get an extra ballot. The more you borrow or do at the library, the more chances to win! The Grand Prize this year is a Switch Lite!

GM St. Catharines is proud to welcome the community back for our annual Show n' Shine Car Show on Friday, August 12 from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM.
Location: GM St. Catharines, 570 Glendale Avenue, St. Catharines, Ontario (in McKinnon Park)
Cost: $10 per vehicle; spectators are free (must be 18+ to enter a vehicle)
All proceeds donated to United Way Niagara.
This car show is only open to GM-powered vehicles (must have a GM engine or transmission to enter a vehicle).
This year will also feature Open House tours of the plant from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM and 4:00 PM-6:00 PM. Walk through our two million square foot facility to see where the V6 and V8 engines, and the GF6 and C8 transmissions, are assembled.
Open house tours are free to the public, but you must register in advance. Must be 10+ to enter the plant; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
