Plant Sale - annuals, perennials, tomatoes and house plants are donated by members and sold at very reasonable prices. New this year will be a table of ceramics and garden accessories. This event is open to the public and is our only fund raiser. We're happy to help you select your plants. Every plant is labelled, healthy and well cared for. We have helpers on hand to load them into your vehicles. This is a great opportunity to network with other gardeners or ask your gardening questions. Our facility is wheelchair accessible. Come early as sales are brisk.

Blood donors are needed in our community over the long weekend. Help fill the 100+ available appointments next week in Burlington.

  • The Burlington Blood Donor Center is located at 1250 Brant St., open Monday through Saturday.
  • Every minute of every day, a patient in Canada needs blood – this could be for a chronic health condition, a traumatic accident, cancer treatment or surgery. On average, it can take up to five blood donors to help one child undergoing cancer treatment. It can take up to eight donors a week to help a patient with leukemia.
  • Canada relies entirely on the generosity of donors to keep the lifeline going.  We need more regular donors to maintain a strong national inventory of blood and blood products to meet patient needs. New donors are critical to meeting Canada’s future blood needs.
  • Giving blood is one of the most direct ways you can help someone and takes just an hour of time.
