The Board of Directors for Kingston Health Sciences Center Volunteer Services to Hotel Dieu Hospital site is recruiting to fill the Treasurer position on our Executive. Training to begin ASAP in preparation to assume the position at the October 2022 AGM.

The expected time commitment is 15 - 20 hours per month over a two year term.

Responsibilities include: maintaining bookkeeping records, accounts receivable & payable, monthly financial statements, preparing annual budget & grant applications, month-end reports and payroll for our Cafe.

2nd ANNUAL BIG RED FUNDRAISER: Enjoy a delicious BBQ and quick summertime eats! Order hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, bacon and a variety of other frozen meats provided by our locally run and operated Big Red Markets from Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and a portion of every order will go towards the renovation of the lower level of our historic Church.  Orders may be placed online at: https://www.ourladyoftheholyrosary.org/fundraiser.  Order deadline is Sunday, May 15. Peterborough Historical Society virtual public lecture.  Speaker Christopher Dummitt.  Sport, which attracts great popular interest, is also the subject of serious historical investigation.  It provides entertainment for mass audiences and a rich source for the social history of communities.  The centenary of the Quaker Park Tennis Club is an apt occasion to explore the place of tennis in Peterborough's past. Christopher Dummitt is Professor of Canadian History at Trent University who writes on history, politics and culture for both scholarly and popular audiences. He also plays a lot of tennis. Register to attend by sending an email note to info@peterboroughhistoricalsociety.ca with "Tennis" in the subject line.  Deadline to register is noon, 17 May.

On Saturday May 14, 2022 the Lambton Central  Petrolia Optimist Club will be hosting a Spring Craft & Gift Show. 

This show is bigger than ever! It will  be held outdoors a the Market area behind the Petrolia Library at 396 Fletcher Street, Petrolia.

We have over 60 amazing vendors including our very own craft table.

Our Toonie Table raffle draw will be larger as well.

The Optimist Food Booth will be running a BBQ during the event so drop by to purchase a hotdog, hamburger and a beverage.
