Hutchison House Museum is seeking enthusiastic junior volunteers ages 8 and up to join our museum team this summer.
Volunteer duties:
- Serve tea in costume for our summertime Scottish Teas
- Event set-up and teardown
- Participate in a volunteer orientation meeting at the end of June
- Participate in our Junior Volunteer Party at the end of the summer
Junior volunteers are scheduled 4 to 5 times over the course of the summer.
Once junior volunteers reach the age of 13 they are given the opportunity to become an apprentice tour guide. High school students may log their hours for mandatory community service requirements prior to graduation.
Being a junior volunteer is a wonderful way to meet new people, gain valuable volunteer experience, gain confidence interacting with adults, and hone public speaking skills .
