The Chatham-Kent Film Group presents Last Call - Monday, October 3rd at 4pm and 7pm at Galaxy Cinemas Chatham.

Last Call is the story of the relationship between two strangers who are thrown together in an environment of mounting crisis: Beth (Sarah Booth) is a late night janitor who accidentally answers a call from Scott (Daved Wilkins) who believes he has dialed a suicide prevention hotline. Shot in real time and presented in split screen, last call showcases both ends of a phone call that has Beth navigating a life-changing conversation as she attempts to save Scott’s life.

Director Gavin Michael Booth will be joining us for a Q&A discussion following both screenings of the film.

The Friends of the Peterborough Public Library will host their first Giant Book Sale in three years. There will be rare books dating back to the early twentieth century right up to current bestsellers. Many categories of non-fiction books can be found, as well as a varied selection of mysteries. We have a wide array of children's books from baby's toddlers to teen fiction. Whatever you're looking for, there's a good chance you'll find it at the Sale. The earlier you come, the better your chances. All proceeds will be donated to the Peterborough Library to help fund a variety of special programming.
