Tour the countryside and drop in at 19 artist studio's located from Milton to Carlisle with stops in Georgetown, Eden Mills, Kilbride and Carlisle.  We have 41 artists located in 19 locations.   See painters, potters, stained glass artists, jewelry, metal art, wood sculpture, photography and a custom guitar builder.  This is a free self-guided tour so you can go at your pace and see as many artists as you can fit into this weekend.   See our FB page  @fasm-annual-studio-tour  for daily updates and feature presentations of the artists.  Meet the artists in their studio and have a chat about their process, artistic journey and how they learned their techniques.   The FASM studio tour has been an annual event for over 20 yrs and a highlight of the fall season.   If you are an artist, art collector or just like to be inspired... this tour is a must for YOU!  For locations and a map go to www.fasmstudiotour.ca.    If you are an artist and would like to join the tour next year, go to www.fasm.ca and check us out!

To recognize the second annual National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, St. Matthews Anglican Church (126 Plains Road East in Burlington) is hosting a workshop on September 30, 2022 featuring a traditional welcome, THE BLANKET EXERCISE led by Archdeacon Val Kerr, smudging and a debriefing.  Everyone is welcome to attend this FREE event which starts at 10 a.m. and will finish at 12:30 p.m.  You may bring your own blanket to be included as your personal recollection of this day.  Bring your own drinking container.  Water and muffins will be supplied.  PRE-REGISTRATION is required on either Facebook (www.facebook.com/AldershotAnglican) OR by email:  office@stmatthewburlington.ca OR by phone message at 905-632-1233.

A Taste of Science highlights the role science plays in delaying food decay and keeping food nutritious and safe for us to eat. In this engaging exhibition, visitors will be immersed in an oversized “pantry” and discover what makes food spoil, as well as various food preservation techniques. Feed your mind and imagination!

Produced by the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum, this quirky travelling exhibition will have you squirming at the sight of rotting food.

A Taste of Science will be on view at Joseph Brant Museum from October 8 - January 28, 2023 and is included with the price of regular admission. For more information, please visit: museumsofburlington.ca.
