Pitch-In Smiths Falls is an annual community litter cleanup that happens as part of Pitch In Canada, a nation-wide cleanup event. We encourage individuals and groups to commit to cleaning up a particular site during the two week period (April 16th to 30th). On April 30th a shoreline cleanup will be held at 10am and 1pm (locations TBA). Yellow Pitch In Bags will be provided by The REAL Deal Store starting April 6th during store hours (Wed - Sat, 10am - 5pm). Saturdays at 7 at St. Andrew's presents the Ottawa Guitar Trio, a dynamic classical guitar ensemble which brings themes from movie soundtracks, video games, classical repertoire and classical guitar originals to life. Join Lighthouse for Grieving Children and Families for the annual Run4Lighthouse fundraiser on Saturday May 28th. Funds raised helps to ensure that Lighthouse grief support services remain free for families who need them, in Halton, Hamilton, Peel, and beyond. Lighthouse offers in-person and online grief support groups for children and youth who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or close friend.
IN-PERSON - Saturday May 28, 2022 at St. Volodymyr Cultural Centre, Oakville. Walk or run a 1K or 5K route.
VIRTUAL - Set your own goal and choose to walk, run, paddle, swim, ride, etc. This can be completed any time and anywhere.

The BPL Writers’ Collective is returning for in-person meetings! The Collective will meet on the last Thursday evening of the month in the Library’s 2nd floor Board Room. Join other writers to chat about your work, get ideas, and gain insight on how to improve your writing. Writers’ groups are a great place to encourage yourself and others to meet your writing goals, whether you’re writing fiction or nonfiction.
