A United Senior Citizens of Ontario affiliated club (Club 9) providing a social evening of Progressive Euchre and/or Social Bridge.

Annual membership of $8. The club meets every Wednesday 7pm to 9:30 pm. Refreshments served.

Meeting at the Burlington Senior Centre - 2285 New Street, Burlington.

Telecare Peterborough is looking for compassionate listeners to respond to worried, lonely and overwhelmed callers. Volunteers are asked to donate at least 8 hours a month. Shifts are available around the clock. Volunteers take calls in our office. Training for new volunteers is online and involves a 50-hour interactive training in listening and crisis response. $50 (subsidy available)  email info@telecarepeterborough.org for information or visit www.telecarepeterborough.org and fill in an application under "volunteer".

Join us for a special reception for Truth and Reconciliation Day on Friday September 30th, from 7-9pm, as we unveil our new Land Acknowledgement plaque with original artwork by local artist Fred Taylor of Curve Lake.  Enjoy some light refreshments as Fred shares his story as a residential school survivor and how he uses his art to heal from the anger and hurt he felt from the Mohawk Institute. Admission to this reception is free however reservations are required as seating is limited. This event was generously sponsored by Stockdale Masonry.
