Multiple actresses portray her at various ages of her life. They dialogue with each other and with “their” sister Madeleine, who is very different from “them”. The show will be performed at the Seaway Valley Theatre, 30, 6th Street E on Friday and Saturday March 25 and 26 and on Friday and Saturday April 1 and 2 at 7:00 p.m. Matinee performances will be held on Sunday March 28 and Sunday April 3 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are also available on-line at https://lamalgamedesarts.ca/ , at the door on the evening of performances and from members of the troupe.

Synopsis

Michel Tremblay’s well-loved and award-winning play is the story, Albertine, at five different times in her life. The older Albertines warn the younger ones of the future. Albertine at 70 tells Albertine at 30 “Our fate depends on you,”. Together, the five Albertines offer a touching portrait of the extraordinary life of an “ordinary” woman. Tremblay presents a five-sided picture of a shattered woman; five versions of herself at ages 30, 40, 50, 60 and 70 that collide on stage.
