WiseFam Productions, Komrade's Kitchen and The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479 are hosting a dinner and show with MUDMEN.  Dinner is from 5pm - 7pm with dining entertainment from Gene 'Gino' Friskie.  Mudmen will perform from 8pm - 10:30pm.  All will take place at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 479 on the second floor. Full vaccination must be shown at the door upon entry.  Tickets can be purchased at the Legion Br. 479, or email wisefamproductions@gmail.com or by calling 289-547-8105.  Come on out for a night of Celtic music!!!!

Want to learn the ins and outs of using Ancestry for your family history research?  Join us on Monday, November 8that 7:00 pm for a Zoom presentation of Getting the Most Out of Researching on Ancestry.

Ancestry is the world’s largest genealogy services company, with record collections from across the globe, DNA testing products, and many more services.  This presentation is an overview of how to use and search effectively on Ancestry’s Canadian website, Ancestry.ca, but there are many useful tips and hints for anyone starting out on Ancestry no matter which country you are researching in. A handout will be provided.

Our presenter will be Lesley Anderson, a face and voice well-known to Canadian family history researchers.  Lesley has worked for Ancestry for over 14 years as their Canadian Spokesperson, and has done numerous presentations for genealogy societies.

Enjoy a delicious Burns Broasted chicken dinner on October 22 and support the organizations that help families throughout Dresden. Proceeds from this DRIVE THROUGH event will go to community agencies including Dresden Sidestreets Youth Centre and the Dresden Food Bank.
