Pottery DIY Workshop - Hand-built Rustic Clay Plates
In this one day workshop we will work with our hands to make simple, rustic, clay plates. Bring a dinner plate, salad plate and a cereal bowl, from home with the desired size to scribe around and shape. Using plant material from your garden to press into the wet clay to create a design, we will then underglaze paint to add colour and decorate. Check out Pinterest for more ideas perhaps. Participants will receive half a sleeve of clay to make their items from which you will make at least four plates. Instructor will fire and clear glaze your pieces. Expect three weeks for work to be finished and ready for pick up.

The first step – make your puppet!

Groups of up to 6 will create their puppet’s head and hands under Alexa’s instruction, and then take their puppet pieces home for the finishing touches. Your puppet can be a person, an animal, a favourite character, a mystical creature… anything you want!

No problem. You can gather the materials listed below and follow the video tutorial to create your own fabulous Giant Puppet right at home. We even have some Puppet Packs for families with limited means. These contain all the materials for making a puppet, and you pick one up at our offices.
Next step – PARTY!
