When the pandemic limited travel, artist Lynn Dooly-Marek was still able to transport herself to the cafes of France through her painting. The impressionistic result is on rich display in the Whitby artist’s August exhibit, titled Bistros & Marchés of the World: Where it All Began, at the Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The exhibit, running Aug. 4 to 29, is the Joyner Gallery’s first exhibit of 2021 for Niagara Pumphouse Arts Centre. An opening reception will be held  on Aug. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m., with health safety protocols in place. Don't miss this exhibit!
