The Kingston Symphony's 2024-2025 season starts on Sunday, September 29, 2024 with a Masterworks concert titled The Golden Age of Hollywood. With music from Casablanca, Robin Hood, Sunset Boulevard, Singin’ in the Rain, and more, it's the perfect time machine to transport yourself to the glamorous world of show biz as it existed in the 30s, 40s, and 50s. During the middle of the 20th century, the very best musicians in the world were part of the MGM and Warner Bros. orchestras. The gifted compositional minds of the romantic symphonic era all turned their attention to scoring the iconic films which would come to define Hollywood. This concert salutes these true masters who created some of the greatest music of the era with extraordinary colour, flair, and sweep.
