Community Event - Kingston - Chalmers Choir Reunion. Sat Oct 5

There will be a reunion of the Chalmers Church Choir and their former
director, David Cameron, on Saturday 5 October, with a public
performance at 3pm of works by Rutter, Goss, Stainer and Willan.

Any choristers who sang with David either in church services or concerts
from 1966 to 2010 are invited to attend the reunion, beginning at
1:30pm. There will be music, stories, finger foods, and renewal of old

Chalmers United Church is at 212 Barrie St in Kingston.

For forty four years David Cameron conducted Chalmers Church choir.
During those years David and the choir produced hundreds of concerts,
many with orchestra, most notably the ones on Good Friday. These
included the Brahms, Mozart, Faure, Durufle, Widor, Daley, and Rutter
Requiems, Handel's Messiah (many performances), Bach's St Matthew and St
John Passions, to mention only a few.

Community Event - Brockville/Prescott - Skate Brockville - "Learn To Skate" Registration

Skate Brockville is currently accepting registrations for Pre CanSkate - for skaters with little to no skating experience, they can be as young as 2.5 years old and they will bring an adult with them to lessons to learn from the coach. 

CanSkate - learn to skate lessons for children who can walk on the ice or can already skate. 

Teen/Adult learn to skate - lessons from a coach in a small environment with other teens and adults. 

Powerskating - not a learn to skate program but a program for boys and girls 9-13 years of age to work on power, speed , agility and edges to improve hockey.
