Rant Maggie Rant was the first band to play at The Mary Webb Centre For The Arts in May 2010 and soon became a MWC favourite with sellouts every return performance. The Mary Webb audience has witnessed the evolution from a Celtic focused band to one that still has Gaelic roots, but with a broader traditional world sound with their unique fusion of hand drumming, dub/jazz bass, soaring vocals, harmonies, fiddle and folk/blues/rock guitar.
Rant Maggie Rant returns on March 7th. Save and purchase your tickets in advance.

Join the Smiths Falls & District Historical Society for their Annual General Meeting, Thursday, February 20th - 7:00 p.m. at the Heritage House Museum, 11 Old Slys Road.
After a brief meeting the society will review an assortment of 1920's Smiths Falls area photos and enjoy a presentation by Montague resident and acclaimed weight power lifter / radio personality, Bill Stevens. Bill explains his own story: "I experienced Polio as a youth and although the side effects were very limited, spending a summer paralyzed, killed my chances of pursuing any career as an athlete.
At 65 and blessed with a wonderful family and lifetime of extraordinary experiences, I wondered what else God might have for me. It turned out that I was about to become, not just an athlete, but a provincial, national, Pan-Am Caribbean, Commonwealth and world champion athlete with 5 world records.
The story is of a 7 year adventure that starts with a weak, semi-retired, 185 lb. senior citizen, couch potato, who gained 60 pounds of muscle, and was invited to compete with Team Canada, internationally. It ends by coming all the way back down to being a 185 lb. weakling, lying in a Smiths Falls hospital bed with pancreatitis, wondering if life was over. "
Doors Open at 6:30 pm. Meeting begins at 7:00 pm. Admission is $5 per person or FREE for society members ($15 / year). Light refreshments will be served.
Please RSVP: 613-283-6311, heritagehouse@smithsfalls.ca.

The Chatham-Kent Economic Development Digital Service Squad presents an introduction to business on Facebook and Instagram.
March 5th, 11:30-1:30pm at SOAR Innovation.
Social media means different things to different people and it’s no different when it comes to business. Some businesses use it to connect and engage with their audience, others use it to inform, and others yet use it as a tool exclusively to sell. In each case there is a right way to use these online tools and there are definitely some things to avoid doing.
This session will look at topics including:
-Key information to note when setting up accounts
-What makes a good post
-Best practices such as when to post
-The differences between a story, post and other content
-Explore tools to make posting easier
The event is being hosted by Chatham-Kent Economic Development, the Small Business Centre, and in partnership with WEtech Alliance.
This is a lunch and learn session.
