For a sixth straight year, Windsor and Essex County law enforcement agencies have partnered with St. Clair College to support Special Olympics Ontario through the annual Polar Plunge, scheduled to take place on Friday, February 28, 2020 at a NEW LOCATION, the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre.

The plunge will take place Friday, February 28 at the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre. 

Registration & Pre-Plunge Fun – 5:00 – 6:00 PM
Plunge – 6:30 PM

Adult Registration – $50 or fundraised $100 to waive registration fee
Student Registration – $25 or fundraised  $75 to waive registration fee

    The Festival of Nations is back to stay and organizers are putting a call out to individuals, businesses and cultural groups interested in being part of the excitement that will happen July 3-5 in Tecumseh Park.

   “We have set a goal of making the Festival of Nations the premier community summer party in Chatham-Kent and that will require people of many talents and enthusiasm to make it happen,” says co-chair Tracy Callaghan.

   “We are inviting residents, businesses and cultural groups, who have a passion for their community, to be a part of the team in organizing a fantastic multicultural event,” says co-chair Dava Robichaud.

   “We are excited about the potential of the Festival of Nations to become a celebration for residents of every community across Chatham-Kent,” says co-chair Darrin Canniff.

  Those interested in learning more about what is planned for the Festival of Nations 2020 are invited to a launch event on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020, being hosted by the co-chairs at the Retro Suites Derby Room from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

   A brief presentation will take place at 7 p.m., which will include details on how to become a volunteer, vendor or sponsor.

Begins Monday, February 3 at 5pm online at www.farrowriversidemiraclepark.com. Registration will be two-fold with both a call for players and volunteers where the former will be $45 to participate in a season of League play.
Individuals who do not have access to register online are welcomed to visit the Riverside Sports Centre (6865 Ontario St.) on Wednesday, February 5 from 6pm to 8pm. to sign-up through traditional means.
