This year marks the 38th Annual Community Living Oakville Golf Tournament which is both our longest running and largest fundraising event.
While our organization is ministry funded, the support received only covers basic everyday essentials – like food, shelter, utilities, transportation and staff. And like most government funded service providers; we often need to do more with less. Some of the people we support require small amounts of assistance, while many others (and their families) rely on us for every facet of their life. We support the most vulnerable members of our community, many of whom experience poverty, isolation, and discrimination.
Supports and services are held in partnership with community facilities and local businesses in Oakville, in diverse environments. Being a part of the intricate fabric of our community, has improved the health and well being of the people we support. By building community partnerships, we have witnessed increased community awareness and inclusion – contributing to an inclusive community.
Funds raised from this year’s tournament will provide people with developmental disabilities opportunities to improve their health and well-being, build on life skills and foster relationships with community members. Through skill development, people supported will have the tools to become involved in their community, gain independence and have a sense of belonging.
Please consider contributing to the success of this year’s golf tournament by sponsoring, playing and/or donating an item for our auction or prize table.
