NOISES OFF - Written by Michael Frayne ~ Directed by Renata Solski
"Noises Off " is a play within a play. It is about an ambitious director and his troupe of mediocre actors. The cast and crew are putting together a silly sex comedy titled, "Nothing On" - a single- set farce in which lovers frolic, doors slam, clothes are tossed away, and embarrassing hi-jinks ensue.
The three acts of "Noises Off " expose different phases of the disastrous show, "Nothing On"

This year the Renfrew Collegiate Institute (RCI) drama department is pleased to present the Washington Irving classic story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

The story is set in 1795 in Upper New York State and is a years-long Halloween favourite due to the story of the Headless Horseman. It brings together the pompous schoolmaster Ichabod Crane, played by Max Hemsley, the roistering Brom Bones, played by Sam Cuccaro, and their love interest, the coy young charmer Katrina Van Tassel, played by Olivia Smart.

The story is told by four narrators and is a comedic mix of a ghost and a love story. This story will delight those of all ages during this year’s Halloween season.

For tickets visit Renfrew Printing, Aikenhead’s Pharmacy, Dahl’s Convenience or the RCI Main Office (613 432-4858).
