Orchestra Kingston combines forces once again with The Kingston Choral Society in a stirring evening calling for peace, remembrance and reflection, Saturday 9 November 2019 7:30pm, The Spire (82 Sydenham Street, Kingston K7L3H4). Tickets: $20/$25/$40 at Novel Idea, Tara Foods, Arden Music, choir and orchestra members, orchestrakingston.ca, kingstonchoralsociety.ca, and at the door.

When these two musical forces last came together, they sold out every seat in The Spire for “The Messiah”, earning remarkable reviews for their “almost psychedelic” musical colour and energy (-Lucy DeCoutere, Kingston Whig-Standard).

“A huge group like this gives the performers energy and the audience can feel that energy,” explains Orchestra Kingston conductor, John Palmer.

Ian Juby, chorus master of the Kingston Choral Society, adds that, “Every time John and I bring the orchestra and choir together, it’s not just another choir experience for audiences but a unique thrill. I hope Pax et Memoria makes people want to come out and experience this big sound as we experience it.”
