We invite you to be a part of a new engagement and info-sharing event for social services in the Windsor-Essex region. The first-ever It Starts With Us: Social Forum is an exhibition featuring a cross-section of the area’s most valued service organizations joining forces to spread the word in terms of accessible and low cost or free programs and services to Windsor-Essex residents.

Too many residents face challenges preventing them from maintaining a basic stable life in this community. We believe Windsor-Essex boasts a strong core of charities, organizations, and non-profits whose work contributes tirelessly in helping residents in need face those challenges. It Starts With Us aims to tap into the expertise of those who work in such organizations to share what they know with others. In so doing, greater awareness building can be achieved, whether it be letting someone know what vital services exist and how to obtain them or discovering new synergies multiple organizations may create by working together through newfound partnerships.

It Starts With Us is a grassroots initiative creative by a task force of local advocates and community workers. With your help, we have the goal of bringing together a diverse range of local non-profits and public service representatives for this inspiring and thought-leading event. All participating organizations vendor table and 5-7 minute public speaking opportunity.

This event is open to the public with free admission and invites anyone who is interested in learning more about what great initiatives are happening in Windsor-Essex.
