This exciting initiative will support the development of the Urgent Care Centre of the Windsor Regional Hospital (WRH) Foundation. “Run for Windsor” makes important contributions to the community by raising money to support key initiatives benefiting the Town of Windsor and its residents. The Run is a grassroots program to raise funds for the hospital and net proceeds from the event will go directly to the WRH Foundation. The Run attracts casual runners as well as walkers from across Windsor. Participants attend with their families and many seek additional fundraising for the WRH Foundation.

Our youth generation honours our Veterans who had the privilege to serve. In doing so, they foster the sentiment of remembrance, speaking to the inherent values of sacrifice and generosity our Veterans made to preserve our Canadian values of democracy.

 Children are invited to bring their families and friends to meet our Veterans at the 5th annual

Honour of Duty Veterans Brunch – (hosted by the Windsor Moose Lodge 1499) taking place Sunday October 27, 2019 at the Windsor Moose Lodge 1499.

Once again, the opening ceremonies and program is organized and presented by members of the Jr. Moose. According to Dan Batson (Administrator, Windsor Moose Lodge 1499), “our Jr. Moose is the only active youth group in all of Canada”.

Doors open at 11:00 a.m. with the buffet commencing at Noon. The Brunch is FREE for all military service Veterans. Guest tickets are $15.00 pp (adult) and $8.00 pp for children (12 years of age and younger). All tickets available effective September 30 - October 22, 2019 at the Windsor Moose Lodge 1499 - 777 Tecumseh Road, west between the hours of 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday.  Advance tickets only and seating is limited.

Museum Windsor is excited to announce a new family-friendly Halloween event at the Chimczuk Museum. Saturday, October 5th from 6pm to 9pm, we will be hosting a super fun after-hours event for the whole family. Activities include a flashlight scavenger hunt through our permanent exhibits, creepy Halloween themed crafts in our Hands-On-History Room, and candy prizes for everyone who participates. Regular admission rates apply.

In addition, Museum Windsor will be screening a secret blockbuster film (hint: it takes place in a museum after dark!) starting at 7pm and offering popcorn and refreshments for sale. To get into the Halloween spirit, we encourage visitors to dress up in their Halloween costumes for a chance to be entered into a draw for a spooky prize!

Kick off the start to the spookiest month of the year with a FREE presentation on the history and evolution of the undertaker.

Join us for light refreshment while you listen to Bill Dennings share stories and photos of the evolution of the undertaker.  Bill will share how and why the undertaker's traditions needed to change and what they are today.
