Notice of Public Meeting - Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment - 4 and 6 Ivan St., 9 and 13 Foundry St. and 108 Erie St. N.

Leamington Council will hold a Public Meeting on Tuesday, October 22, 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers at the Leamington Municipal Building to receive comments regarding Official Plan Amendment Application OPA #6 and Zoning By-law Application ZBA #109 to allow the existing Leamington GMC Dealership as a permitted use in the Commercial Uptown Designation and Zone. Details and a map are provided on the attached Public Notice.

Anyone is welcome to attend the Public Meeting and/or make written or verbal comments either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Official Plan Amendment or Zoning By-law Amendment.

Leeds Grenville OGS - Ontario Genealogical Society will be meeting on Monday October 7 at 6:30 pm. at Brockville Museum (downstairs room). Come and share an old fashioned potluck meal. Bring food of your choice, your plate & cutlery. Drinks provided. Plan to share a story of your genealogical successes or challenges or perhaps your summer activities. All are welcome!

Sweet Music Here showcases a curated collection of Dr. Sirett’s favourite scores – as he conducts his final concerts with the Cantabile organization that he founded in 1996.

A highlight will be Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs featuring baritone Geoffrey Sirett, Cantabile’s Artistic Director designate.

Cantabile’s youngest singers are featured in this concert – a delightful musical celebration of the animal kingdom. The second half of the concert consists of a special 30-minute musical production of Disney’s The Lion King, KIDS.

Follow Symba and an unforgettable cast of characters as they travel from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again, in this beloved coming-of-age tale by Elton John and Tim Rice.

Cantabile welcomes Daniel Taylor and his professional ensemble The Theatre of Early Music. Taylor, a world-renowned countertenor and conductor, is known as one of the finest interpreters of early  music.

As guest conductor, Taylor offers his expertise as Cantabile explores repertoire from the Renaissance and Baroque periods, as well as contemporary works.
