Visitors to the Essex, Harrow, and McGregor library branches can now dive into more than just books with a new partnership between the Town of Essex and Essex County Library system.
Library card holders can now pick up a one week Splash Pass at their local branch. The pass provides admission for up to five people to any recreational or family swim at Essex Recreation Complex.
“This is a unique partnership with Essex County Library and it is really exciting to provide Essex families with the opportunity to experience our public swims for free. We are always looking to reduce barriers to recreation and this initiative certainly accomplishes that,” said Doug Sweet, Deputy CAO and Director of Community Services.
Five passes will be available at the Essex branch and three passes will be available at both the Harrow and McGregor branches. Passes will be loaned out much like books and other media.
Please visit www.essexcountylibrary.ca for branch hours and more information. For a current schedule of swims visit www.essex.ca/DropIn. For more information on applicable admission policies visitwww.essex.ca/SwimBands or call 519-776-8992.
