Public Notices/Announcements - Brockville/Prescott - Debate on the Environment with All Five Candidates

A free, public, non-partisan debate focusing on environmental issues takes place Wed., Oct. 2, 7-9 pm, at the Brockville Collegiate Institute auditorium. All five candidates running for MP in Leeds-Grenville, Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes riding will respond to four questions being posed in these 100 Debates nationwide. The environment is a big issue going into the Oct. 21 election, so this debate is the chance for voters here to learn how their potential MP will attack the most pressing environmental issues: climate change, water, wildlife conservation, and pollution and toxic substances. This debate is sponsored by Transition Brockville, Sustainable North Grenville, Citizens' Climate Lobby of Canada -- Leeds-Grenville Chapter, and other volunteers. For more information or to become a volunteer, write to 100debates@transitionbrockville.com.
