JoyRide Coming to Welland
This Sunday afternoon concert promises to be fun! Welland Port Colborne Concert Association will host Joyride on Sunday, February 9th at 2:oo pm at the Dr JM Ennis Auditorium, Centennial Secondary School, Thorold Rd. Welland
Colin Maier (oboe, saw, vocals, from Quartetto Gelato) & Mark Camilleri (pianist and music director for The Tenors) are “Joyride”, a fun show of Latin jazz, klezmer, ragtime, pop jazz, bebop and more. JoyRide has performed at the First Ontario Performing Arts Centre, the Collingwood Festival, Hamilton’s Westdale Theatre, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, and at regional theatres in Deep River, Cornwall and Bobcaygeon. Their CD “JoyRide” has received radio play on jazz stations around the world: “Ridiculous, virtuosic, outside-the-box fun … It takes a lot of nerve to make music as amusing as JoyRide’s.” (New York Music Daily)
Tickets are $40 for adults and $15 for students and are available at www.wpccaconcert.org or at the door.
