Community Event - Kingston - Kingston Grandmother's Market for Africa
Our popular Market for Africa returns for its 12th year in Kingston. Saturday, November 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., again at Crossroads United Church, 690 Sir John A. MacDonald Blvd., Kingston, Ont. (across from the Kingston Centre). Easy access by bus, in the centre of town, lots of parking. Admission is free.
Have a bowl of soup for lunch, and shop for gifts from Africa and beyond. Grannies’ sewing, baking and other goodies, hand made treasures and Christmas Crafts, “recycled” jewelry, art and fabulous fashion. This year we’re adding a line of “green initiative” products. Oh, and we’d love if you could bring your own shopping bag.
Funds raised help African grandmothers who have lost their children to HIV/AIDS and are raising their grandchildren, through the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmother to Grandmother Campaign and Help Lesotho. “We are making a difference”.
Community Event - Windsor/Leamington - Turkey Dinner at Bedford United Church
October 26 from 5-7pm at Bedford United Church. Tickets are $14.00/adults & $7.00 for ages 6-12, tickets are available at the door. Don't miss out on one of our favorite dinners of the year, served with all the fixings! Take out is available and we are fully accessible with lots of parking in the rear off Russell St.

You're invited to attend the most popular and biggest job and career fair in Windsor-Essex. The Windsor-Essex JOB DAY is the largest and most comprehensive event of its kind open to the general public.
JOB DAY is a collaborative initiative organized by New Canadians’ Centre of Excellence Inc. and facilitated together with other community partners and we are proud to be celebrating seven years of success!
Windsor-Essex JOB DAY is where qualified, experienced and motivated candidates go, to apply for jobs, connect with employers, connect with training opportunities and look at self-employment options. Last year Windsor-Essex JOB DAY attracted over 1200 participants. The event runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on October 18 at the WFCU Centre.

Community Event - Chatham - Adulting 101: ‘80s Aerobics Experience
Do you miss “sweating to the oldies”? Then come out to Chatham-Kent Public Library’s ‘80s Aerobics Experience on Thursday, November 7 at 6:30 pm. Channel your inner Jane Fonda and practice your jazzercise skills while listening to classic ‘80s jams. Costumes are encouraged! ‘80s Aerobics Experience is part of the Adulting 101 program series at Chatham-Kent Public Library. We recognize that being an adult can be hard. This an opportunity for adults (16+) to come together and learn different life skills in a fun and welcoming environment.
