‘80s Aerobics Experience is part of the Adulting 101 program series at Chatham-Kent Public Library. We recognize that being an adult can be hard. This an opportunity for adults (16+) to come together and learn different life skills in a fun and welcoming environment.

In partnership with the Pet and Wildlife Rescue, the Caturday Cat Café will be held at the Chatham Branch on Saturday, October 19 from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Stop by the Chatham Branch meeting room to meet volunteers from Chatham Pet and Wildlife Rescue and their furry friends. Play or snuggle with some adorable kitties for fifteen minutes while you learn about the work that the Pet and Wildlife Rescue does in the community and how you can help.
Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. For the wellbeing of the animals, staff will have to limit the number of participants allowed in the Café at one time to 16. Patrons may have to wait to enter the Café if the meeting room reaches capacity.
Advanced tickets for the Café can be reserved starting Friday, October 11. A limited number of standby tickets will also be available starting at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 19. Call 519.354.2940 for more details.

Glenn Stott, an excellent War of 1812 historian, will speak of his newest book, The Last Invasion: General Duncan McArthur's Grand River Expedition, 1814. Using the War Losses Claims, letters, diaries and contemporary newspaper articles as well as local folk history, it is possible to outline the day to day activities of McArthur's force of over 700 Americans and First Nations who made the last invasion of the Western and London Districts in the fall of 1814. It is possible to identify most of McArthur's camps, including at least four in the Kent County region.
