Children JK-Grade 6 will do crafts, play games, have snacks, sing songs and dance, and learn Bible stories as well as participate in three community service projects (two serving our immediate community) from 9-11:30 each day. Tour the Village by the glow of lantern light and experience the secrets of Settler and Michi Saagiig life after dark. Join us as we share the things that are not normally aired during the light of day in the Village. Love letters, scandalous affairs, birth control and breaking your promises are just some of the topics we are diving into this evening. Since this event falls on National Kissing Day bring your sweetheart and enjoy a romantic wagon ride through the historic village, refreshments in the Keene Hotel Bar Room, and relive 19th-century courtship practices. Admission: Adults $15, Students/Seniors (60+) $10.
A social evening, for those 55 and over, or those with special needs of any age. Meal choice Hot Hamburg or Chicken Parmigiana. Entertainment by Gaston Moreau.
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be collecting non-perishable food items, as well as gently used clothing and/or monetary donations during the LaSalle Strawberry Parade on Saturday June 8, 11am. Please help us help those who are in need!

Celebrate Canada Day, on Monday, July 1 and hold witness to a live Citizenship Court on the beautiful, waterfront grounds of Fort Malden National Historic Site (NHS). Festivities rev up with the 5k Canada D’Eh run that starts at 9 a.m. The “Canadiana” experience continues with free, family activities and performances throughout the parks. Decorate and cycle to the event for free valet and bike rodeo at Toddy Jones Park.
New this year, “Amherstburg in Motion” hits the pavement! Kids will love checking out the Zamboni, get water sprayed by Amherstburg’s new Fire Truck hose and other “big machine” surprises while popular food trucks serve up scrumptious meals in Toddy Jones Park!
Live concerts by Two Years Apart and Big Louis and the Band hit the stage at 7:00 p.m. just before the grand finale fireworks display at approximately 10:00 p.m.
