A speaker event will be hosted by the Brockville and District Horticultural Society on the topic of mulching. The speaker is Alison Whitlock, certified horticulturalist. The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Brockville Wesleyan Church, 33 Central Ave. There is a $2 guest fee.
