Local vets and Health Unit are providing Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Clinics in the City of Kawartha Lakes on Sat., Sept. 28, from 9 am to 1 pm (unless otherwise specified). Cost is $35/animal. Please bring proof of your pet's most recent rabies vaccination if possible. No animal exams are offered. Dogs should be on leashes and cats in carriers.

The Park in the City Committee is asking residents to register online to participate in the up-coming Fall Community Clean Sweep Day taking place on Saturday, October 5 starting at Oakes Park from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Participants will be given complimentary safety vests, pickers, garbage/recycling bags and will be requested to clean-up debris from city parks, trails and boulevards.
