The Park in the City Committee is asking residents to register online to participate in the up-coming Fall Community Clean Sweep Day taking place on Saturday, October 5 starting at Oakes Park from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Participants will be given complimentary safety vests, pickers, garbage/recycling bags and will be requested to clean-up debris from city parks, trails and boulevards. Students will be able to acquire community service hours for their participation. Registration is to be completed online at www.niagarafalls.ca/pitc. The Park in the City Committee in partnership with TD Friends of the Environment will be hosting a TD Tree Days event on Saturday, September 21 at Fairview Cemetery in Niagara Falls, located along Stanley Avenue. Participants will be planting 450 trees and shrubs starting at 9:00 am. Individuals who are interested in participating can register online at www.niagarafalls.ca/pitc.
