The Pembroke Community Choir invites you to join us this September as we begin rehearsals for our concerts celebrating “Christmas Past and Present”. Online registration begins on August 15. Practices are from 7-9 pm every Monday, starting September 9, at Wesley Community Church, 210 Renfrew Street, Pembroke. Concerts are set for November 30 and December 1. No auditions. Celebrated in communities around the globe, Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that connects neighbours of all backgrounds through community-informed activities and events. Welcoming Week provides communities the opportunity to publicly proclaim welcoming values, foster a mutual understanding between immigrants and non-immigrants, and build a deeper sense of belonging for all. Finally, Welcoming Week is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people, places and values that help everyone feel welcome and give them a sense of belonging in their local community, no matter where they come from.
The Welcoming Week theme this year is, “We’re All In.”
