Club Roma is hosting a St. Joseph’s Dinner & Dance on Saturday, March 16th, 2019.  Cocktails are at 6:00 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $45.00 per person and music is by Dynamic Entertainment.

In addition, there will be a sweets table setup from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm for individuals to purchase homemade Italian treats made by the Ladies Auxiliary of Club Roma (sweet breads, cookies, crostoli etc).

Do you have what it takes to make it as a Rockton detective? Test your detective skills and crack the clues before time runs out in our “Escape to Rockton: CK Reads Breakout Room”!

Inspired by our 2019 CK Reads selection, “City of the Lost”, join us at the Chatham Branch from March 11 to March 15 for the “Escape to Rockton: CK Reads Breakout Room”. Teams will have 30 minutes to search for clues and solve puzzles that will lead to your map to Rockton. Knowledge of the book "City of the Lost" is not required to complete the room. 

Registration is required. Teams can register in groups of 2 to 5 at any CKPL branch or online by searching “Escape to Rockton” at search.ckpl.ca. Registration will begin on February 25. Only one person from each group needs to register for a time slot.

Jazz diva Molly Johnson performs with the Nortumberland Orchestra and Choir on March 30 in Cobourg. The Toronto-based singer, accompanied by her trio, will perform numbers from her latest album, Meaning Too Tell Ya, which is nominated for a Juno award this year. The concert, sponsored by the province of Ontario's travelling arts program Celebrate Ontario will start at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30 at Trinity United Church. Tickets are available at the Victoria Hall box office (905-372-2210) or online at concerthallatvictoriahall.ca

The Champlain Trail Museum will be offering March Break programs for kids again this year! Shoebox Archaeology on Monday March 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for ages 5-7 and 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. for ages 8-12. The Museum will be open for tours on Tuesday March 12th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. On Wednesday March 12th is a Fun with Prehistoric Pottery program, the sames times and ages apply to that as the Shoebox Archaeology program. On Thursday March 14th the Museum will be open for tours from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is by donation on the Tuesday and Thursday. The programs cost $10.00 per child. The Museum is closed Friday March 15th. Contact the Museum by phone 613-735-0517 or email curator@champlaintrailmuseum.com to register your child in ADVANCE for these programs. We now accept debit and credit cards for payment!  The Museum will also be open on Tuesday March 12th and Thursday March 14th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission these two days is by donation.
