The February 13th meeting of the Niagara Region Orchid Society at Holy Rosary Church Hall, Thorold  will feature a penny sale and a demonstration on how to separate a large orchid.  Starts at 7:30 pm. All are welcome.

St Jean Baptiste Church, 500 Isabella St. Pembroke,  hosts the 2019 World Day of Prayer service on Friday March 1 at 2 PM and again at 7 PM. Women from 15 Pembroke area churches will participate in the service. This year's service was written by the women of Slovenia. All are welcome.

Parking and a handicap entrance are available. Refreshments follow the service. Please join us.

The County Seniors Centre presents this a 1 ½ hour free PowerPoint talk and demonstration for those who are considering taking the two day Therapeutic Touch Level 1 Workshop being held April 15th and 17th in Picton.  Therapeutic Touch® is a gentle holistic, energy-based healing therapy. Research and clinical experience have shown its effectiveness in promoting a relaxation response, reducing anxiety and stress, managing pain, improving sleep, facilitating the body’s natural healing process and fostering a sense of well-being.  This free introduction will be held at the Community Care office, 74A King Street, Picton on Thursday, February 28th from 1:30 to 3:00pm by Alison Cooke, Recognized Teacher.  To register call the County Seniors Centre at 613-476-7493.   www.communitycareforseniors.org
