One of the major themes that runs through this action-packed crime novel is mental health. Chatham-Kent Public Library is excited to host local author and mental health advocate Brian Knowler:

Thursday, February 14       11:00 am                   Thamesville Branch, CKPL

Thursday, February 19       6:30 pm                      Ridgetown Branch, CKPL

Knowler will share his journey through trauma, starting with a fateful collision in 2004, peaking with an emotional and physical crash in 2012, and leading to post-traumatic growth that includes professional speaking and authoring two books on trauma, mental health, and first responders. Brian also briefly discusses the aspects of leadership that helped him recover and that keep motivating him now. Brian’s written work includes “On the Other Side of Broken: One Cops Battle with the Demons of PTSD.” (2016) and “Career Suicide is Overrated and other Lessons for Leaders about Honouring Mental Health Where You Work, Live and Play.” (2018).

It will to respectively support of student scholarships, military family support and expanded hospital services, new programs, and bring leading-edge medical technology and treatment.

The fundraising tournament, led by the Canadore Foundation, will take place at the North Bay Granite Club on January 18 – 20.
