On May 25th across Canada, thousands of children will be remembered on the occasion of the National Day of Missing Children.

This a special day reminds us every year, in Canada to renew our efforts to make Missing Children to their families. This year Missing Children Canada marks this special day under the banner.

You can make the difference and for the occasion, we have partnered with A&W at 422 Ninth Street West in the distribution of identification books from RCMP-GRC and that will distributed free of charge to the parent for children under 18.  From 10 AM to 7 PM.

Need a professional headshot? Elevate Presents Women's Headshot Social - have a mini headshot session with Tracy Zimmerman Photography, make connections with some amazing women in our community, enjoy appetizers and refreshments and go home with our "low-waste swag bag".

There are two ticket levels for this event.

$20 ticket includes the social portion of the event including networking, appetizers and refreshments and low-waste swag bag.

$40 ticket includes all of the above plus a 15 minute headshot session with Tracy Zimmerman Photography, 1 digital image in high resolution and social media size. Plus the option to purchase more images for $20 per image.

Elevate is a Chatham-Kent think-tank of women lifting up women in dreams and life. We are brand new and this is our first event. We are hoping to facilitate connections between women in our community doing amazing things. Stay tuned for future events!

Scholarships are open to students (male or female) who are currently in or have applied to enter post-secondary education and who have played at any time for the Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association at the house league or rep level.

June 7 marks one year of resisting government cuts to public services, education, health care and decent work.  

We will be hitting the streets across Ontario to show that we didn't vote for that.

North Bay Labour and Community will sound the alarm with a "pots and pans" march on Saturday, June 8 at 12:30 p.m. from the North Bay Museum and to MPP Fedeli's constituency office.  Main Street organizing, with food and festivities to follow.  Make some noise!

Since 1969, members of the 2861 RCEME Cadet Corps have been recognized for their milestone achievements and accomplishments as citizens dedicated to military service.

For the past fifty years, the Cadet Corps has played an integral role in the development of the youth culture -- defining skill sets, taking pride in citizenship, public speaking, discipline, self esteem, team dynamics, career-building, leadership and physical fitness enabling Cadets (aged 12 to 18) to function at their full potential in the life of their community.

All former cadets, officers, and civilian instructors are invited to attend the  2861 RCEME Cadet Corps 50th Anniversary Alumni Reunion (fellowship/dinner) at 1800hrs (6:00 p.m.) on 8 June 2019 at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 143 – 1570 Marentette Avenue – Windsor, Ontario. Tickets for all alumni Cadet Corps members are FREE – their guest tickets are $10.00 each.
