Event sponsored by the Palliative Care Services program of the Brockville General Hospital. It is a program for individuals who are coping with the loss of a loved one. It provides an alternative form of self-help and support by walking along side people who share a similar experience. Trained bereavement facilitators accompany the walker each week. The walker should be able to tolerate walking at a leisurely pace and be prepared to walk in the elements of the changing seasons. (rain, shine, or snow)

Reefer Madness is a musical satire of the 1936 cult classic film whose plot revolves around the melodramatic events that ensue when high school students are lured by pushers to try marijuana; from a hit and run accident, to manslaughter, suicide, attempted rape, and a descent into madness all due to marijuana addiction.

Extension-Korda chose this hilariously campy show because it fit perfectly in the midst of Canada’s recent marijuana legalization - what better way to celebrate the legalization than with a 1930s musical propaganda!

Extension-Korda is a youth program through Korda Artistic Productions that allows young adults take on production roles such as directing, producing, choreographing, and music directing, with a cast of all ages!

The show runs June 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29 and July 4, 5, and 6. The shows are at 8PM, and doors open at 7:30PM. Tickets are $25 for General Admission/Advanced online, and $20 at the door for Students and Seniors. June 27 is Pay-What-You-Can. Online tickets can be purchased at eventbrite.ca. Tickets can be reserved by emailing reefermadnesskorda@gmail.com.
