The holidays are a time to come together as a community, share stories, be generous and spend quality time as a family. For YMCA Northumberland, our entire community is our family. Every year we host our annual community pancake breakfast that is FREE for everyone, members, and non-members. It is an opportunity to enjoy homemade pancakes, fun activities and meet new friends. There will be activities for children, including a bouncy castle, and pictures with Santa. Bring your entire family for a pancake breakfast and join us in celebrating the year that was while looking forward to the year to come.

Put on your long johns, lace up your sneakers, get your Santa hat, and gather your friends and family for the 2018 Reindeer Run/Walk on Saturday, November 30, 2019, in support of the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign and Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation.

A fun, community orientated run and walk open to families, casual and competitive runners of all ages offering four events to ensure everyone can participate.

Giving Tuesday is a national day of giving immediately following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.  Considered to be the opening day of the giving season, Giving Tuesday is a day when charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for favourite causes and support their communities.

On Monday, October 7, 2019, the Northumberland Forest Turkey Trot took.

Participants of all ages can come out to enjoy a 5K, 2.5K, 2K, 1K, and the Gobble Wobble Search (for the little ones). Pledges raised at the event will go directly to the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign supporting individuals and families in Northumberland County.

On Sunday, September 29, 2019, YMCA Northumberland hosts its annual Brighton Applefest 5k run and 1k Kids Fun Run in celebration of the Brighton Applefest. All proceeds go towards the YMCA Strong Communities Campaign.

The Brighton YMCA Applefest Run will start and finish at East Northumberland Secondary School (ENSS) in Brighton, Ontario.

Race fee for the 5 km race is $25 and free for the 1km fun run. You can register online at ymcanrt.org, in person at the Brighton YMCA (613) 475-2887 or at the event beginning at 8:30 a.m.
