All things Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes!

  • Have you always wanted to pack a shoebox but not sure how to get started? 
  • Want to start a new Christmas tradition with your child teaching them all about how to give to others and making a difference in the life of another child?
  • Need your shoebox for this season?

Come out, pick up your shoebox, get a balloon for the little one and meet the human shoebox! Local and Regional coordinators will be on location to answer questions and tell you all about how to pack a shoebox for a child in need!

Facing Darkness is a movie about the fight against Ebola and how a Samaritans Purse aid worker contracted, fought and won the battle against Ebola. Following this moving story, audiences will hear from Franklin Graham, and Dr. Kent Brantly, the first American to survive Ebola. Click on website link to see the trailer. Rated PG (ages 12+)

Genealogy Drop-In sponsored by Leeds & Grenville Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society at our Archives/Library at 5 Henry Street, Brockville (in the basement at the Brockville Museum).

Drop in any time from 10:00 am until noon on Wednesday Nov 7th and 21st. You can work on your family tree, share research strategies, ask for assistance on brick-wall ancestors, and learn what resources are available for your research.  Members of the local Branch will be on hand to answer questions and help you get the most from your genealogy research.

November 17 - Central United Church's Bake Sale and Deli will be held downtown Sarnia at 220 George Street from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.  Free admission.  Items for sale include: turkey pies, fruit pies, butter tarts, jams and jellies, preserves, frozen entrees, soups, cookies and more.  Stock up your freezer and shelves for those cold winter days.
