The Fort Town Concert Association will present Hidden Treasures with violinist Nuné Melik and pianist Michel-Alexandre Broekaert at 7.30 on Friday February 8th 2019 at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Prescott.

 

Despite its thousand years of cultural history,the music of Armenia remains little known. This concert is a celebration of the creativity and resilience of the Armenian people, whose music bears the mark of both the genocide and the country’s folklore. Accompanied by pianist Michel-Alexandre Broekaert violinist Nuné Melik will present the fruits of her quest to share the music of her people. Allow this expressive duo to lead you to discover Armenia’s rich and intense musical repertoire.

Korda Artistic Productions’ is holding auditions for the company’s 2019 production of Mother Courage and Her Children. Auditions will take place Wednesday, January 16 and Thursday, January 17 at 7:30pm each night, at The KordaZone Theatre, 2520 Seminole Street. Those interested in auditioning are not required to book a time, but are asked to arrive promptly at 7:30pm and to be prepared to stay for at least one hour. Auditions will be cold reads from the script, with sides provided onsite.

Performance dates have been changed from Korda’s original Press Release! Performances will now be May 17-19, 23-25, 30-31 and June 1, 2019.
