For over 40 years Distress Line and Tel-Check volunteers have been providing telephone suppport to isolated seniors and individuals struggling with day to day life challenges.

CK Foster Parents would like to invite you to learn about Childhood Trauma. January 19th, 9am at Country View Golf Course. 

Presented by Lesley Allen, B.S.W.

An introduction to developmental trauma; an understanding of the unique needs of children who have suffered trauma and loss; an explanation of why traditional methods do not work; a renewed sense of hope in your work with our children.

Includes a round table discussion with local community supports and service providers.

Training certificate will be provided to attendees.

Rolling closures will be in effect on the E.C. Row Expressway between Banwell Road and Lauzon Parkway as Parks and Operations staff work to clear garbage from the shoulder and median areas (weather permitting). Motorists are being asked to be aware of the workers, as there may be occasional delays from Tuesday, January 8 to Thursday, January 10 from 9am to 2pm.

Spiritual Niagara and Greg Frewin Theatre present a Community Spirit Fundraiser for the Niagara Falls Out of the Cold Shelter Program.

We will be offering 15 minutes readings for only $20! There will be a number of incredibly talented Spiritual Niagara members providing various types of readings; Psychic, Medium, Tarot Cards, Astrology and more! Spots are limited, and there is no limit on how many you can purchase. When you arrive you should go book your time slots then. 50% of the money raised from the readings go directly to the charity!

While waiting for your readings, there will be vendors for you to browse through: crystals, cards, books, jewelry, custom made pyramids and much more! There will be silent auction tables for you to place bids at, 50/50 draw, snacks and drinks to purchase, and many of our mediums will be providing group messages in the theatre all afternoon for donations!! Join us for an afternoon of love, laughs and healing and all for a great cause!

Last year we were able to raise over $1700+ for The Soup Kitchen of Niagara Falls, and we would like to surpass that goal. Please help us and help yourself too, an afternoon of wellness for everyone, hope to see you there!
