So what is “The Bowie Lives? www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcjjUehwk7E

The show was just fantastic! Michael Bell sounded more like Bowie than Bowie! The musicians were stellar and on top of their game. The choreography fit nicely with the delivery.  Michael's presentation was right on point... the full house loved the 'call and answer' segments and took part in the Show. And, there were even some audience members that dressed in costume and danced in the aisles!” ~ Pat Porter Radio Personality 4680 Q.

Saw the show last night in Toronto and was blown away. Was a little apprehensive at first as I have been a Bowie fan since I was a teen and I was concerned the band may not do the songs justice. I was overwhelmingly thrilled at what I heard and saw, from the first note I was hooked. The biggest takeaway is you can tell the lead singer is truly a devoted fan himself. Loved the way you honored David Bowie. Hope to see you in Toronto again real soon!”

What the industry has to say…

5 Stars! Unbelievable! I could have watched them for two more hours!” says Richard Crouse, CTV News, CP24, NewsTalk1010, and Host of CTV PopLife.

By far, the best & coolest Bowie Tribute I’ve seen!” says Sam Grosso,of Cadillac Productions.

“As close as it gets!” says MusikMirage.com

They’re all talking about the “The Bowie Lives” A Bowie Spectacular-Canada’s Sensational Tribute to David Bowie! Michael Bell is an award-winning vocalist who channels the sound and styles of David Bowie, and with the help of an all-star band, our multimedia, a theater, and costumes, he has captured the imagination of fans young and old.

Michael discovered Bowie as a teen and performed songs with a number of his early bands. By the 80’s his first theatrical production “ChangesAllBowie” toured the “A circuit” before hanging up his “Ziggy” in the early ’90s. Decades passed. After David’s untimely death on January 10, 2016, Michael’s calling returned; his calling to honor the man who helped shape his life. Together with musical director Michael Beauclerc, they began auditioning players to fill out a band capable of performing some of Rock’s most challenging material. The Bowie Lives bring all hits to the stage; Space Oddity to Lazarus, and everything in between.

The Bowie Lives PRE-SHOW includes the Bowie Bazaar; T-shirts, collectibles, LPs and DVDs, and more. Come dressed as your favorite David Bowie persona or wear your favorite swag and be rewarded! Don’t forget to grab a button!

Michael is also the subject of an upcoming documentary film “Being David Bowie” and an upcoming web series “The Bowie Lives.”

All are welcome to attend this special Fall Speaker Series.

Bring a friend, and come out to listen to one, or all, of the special guests as they speak on these very interesting topics.

The series will run on four Thursday evenings, beginning on Thursday, October 17th

The presentations will begin at 7:00 pm in Trinity United Church, 33 Main St. E, Huntsville.

Come at 6:30 for dessert prior to the event!

October 17th: Sheridan Rondeau, author of the book, Dear Tony – a memoir about Alzheimer’s disease and the challenges for the person with it and their family members. All done with a touch of humour!

October 24th: Lori Knowles, a local Muskoka author, will share her summer sell out novel called Summers with Miss Elizabeth.  Knowles explores the intricacies of family generational dynamics while skillfully weaving in the destructive family skeletons that jump out of the ‘old money’ Muskoka cottage.

November 7th: Social worker, Bernadine Togertz, will be discussing the topic of estranged adult children.  Why do they cut off ties and communication with their parents? And more importantly, how can we move conflict to connection again? What can be done to help repair these broken relationships?

November 14th: Dr. Pam McDermott:  Do you have a plan for your future health and personal care?  Join Pam McDermott as she shows us how we can take control of our health care journey through advance care planning.
